GAH! I've been working on a new layout all morning, and it's nearly done, except that I can't figure out how to hide the userpic!! FRUSTRATION! It's covering up my poor header . . . if anyone knows how to fix that problem, I would love you so much . . .
A leetle music-obsession update: I got Radiohead's OK Computer at the public library and I love it. Very, very good album. Especially Exit Music (For a Film). Wow.. ;)

I was thinking . . . it's strange, this world we've created on the Internet. The digital art community, I mean. The internet is a huge place, of course, but we're all sort of connected somehow, because styles and techniques go in and out of fashion, just like in the real world. Like, I remember when virtually nobody used patterns -- and now they're everywhere. I haven't been around long enough to remember when nobody used textures, but I'm sure there was a time. Where does it start? HOW does it start? I don't expect this to be answered or anything (^^), it's just something I was thinking about.
Similarly, I'm curious as to when/where everyone else got started with digital art. Question for my flist! Do you remember when you first started in the digital art community? I remember very clearly stumbling upon tere-art.com, that's where everything started for me. Just curious . . .

The third season of Roswell came out on DVD on Tuesday! I know, I know . . . I still blush for liking this show. But I so neeeeeeed to see it! I want to know what happens since whatsherface turned evil! I was so happy when that happened, you've no idea. But, unfortunately, neither Blockbuster nor Movie Gallery has it in our town, so I don't know what I'm gonna do. Grr-argh . . . unsolved mystery . . .

ARRRRRRR! How do shows as awesome as Firefly get cancelled while crappy reality tv shows like . . . well I can't think of any right now, but I'm sure there are a lot - stay on the air!?!? I would really like to know that . . .
I'm unhappy . . . never a good thing . . . my parents are just being . . . parents again and . . . groan, I feel like folding into myself and disappearing. Can I do that?
But I did collage this morning and it made me feel slightly happier. I'm so glad I finally made a Lily/James piece. It was majorly inspired by Tre's beautyness, which I could never hope to come close to matching, but.

Woot! I made a MySpace for myself. It's kind of a nifty site. It's like mix between Livejournal and Facebook. The only thing is that it's not very organized, the layout is kind of cluttered and I get error messages like every other thing I do . . . Oh well. So me and a friend decided we are not going to pass up this opportunity to (maybe) hear Lifehouse even though we are only 18 years old; we're going to stand outside on the sidewalk and be underage Lifehouse groupies, and maybe hear some distant chords in the background. I have definitely been thinking way too much about this, and I love every minute of it.
But . . . am I grasping at straws? Please let me know if you disagree or see blatant flaws in my reasoning, particularly about Snape (because I know there are many) becauase I am not completely devoted to any of these theories . . . I'm just thinking things through.

So I just finished the episode in the second season of Roswell called "The End of the World" and I'm uber-depressed. I'm just like . . . Why? WHY, DAMNIT? Why can't TV producers just give viewers what they want!? freja_irihs might know what I'm talking about. I mean, it's like worse than when Buffy killed Angel. Yeah, I'm a sucker for these Romeo-and-Julietish relationships. I'm sentimental and sappy, I can't help it. BUT WHY CAN'T MAX AND LIZ BE TOGETHER????? :cry: Right after I had to go pick up my sister from work, and you know how driving alone in the dark makes you feel all melodramatic. And then . . . then "Crash Into Me" by Dave Matthews came on the radio. The.world.wants.me.perpetually.depressed.

Woohoo! New fandom! I rented the entire 1st season of Roswell! :blush: It's a little silly, unrealistic, big on obvious plot devices, but ah, Max&Liz are cute as hell! And it's got some pretty good characterization.
I know I know I know I know I know, I'm always way late on the fandoms, I mean this show ended, what, in the 90s or something? I don't even know . . . Anyway --
I just realized that the only way I've ever watched any TV show is when it comes out on DVD, one episode after another. 's how I watched Buffy . . . X-Files . . . Alias . . . ooh, but I did watch Angel on TV for a while. Cause I have that channel. I'm also looking forward to Lost coming out in December so I can have something else to geekily obsess over. I've only seen 1 episode of Lost, but I KNOW it's my kinda show after watching that 1 episode, and seeing the art in the Lost forum @ Creative . . . which I stopped going into because ACK! Spoilers!
And speaking of spoilers . . . HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE COMES OUT ON SATURDAY!! :gasp: I totally forgot about that!! My sister just reminded me yesterday and ohmigod....... I mean, I of course KNEW July 16, yeah, but I didn't really know what the date was now, I don't keep track of that kind of thing during summer vacation -- but we get to read it in frickin 1 week. Unbelievable. I mean, honestly unbelievable, I can't even fathom it, I don't think it's sunk in all the way yet. 7 days . . . technically I've been waiting for this since I put down Order of the Phoenix 2 years ago. Amazing . . .
and now I shall go back to watching Roswell. Yaaaa, I'm a dork!
Oh, and one more thing! I signed up at 1121.org for my own domain and am sending the money through the mail as we speak. ;) Keep your eyes peeled for {{{{all-things.org}}}} ! Exclamation point!

Oh, and . . . this is incredibly off-topic, but I was just thinking: It's insane how physical emotions are. Like, when you get scared at a movie your heart starts racing, even though you *know* it's just a movie and there's absolutely no reason to be scared, and like when a certain guy smiles at you and and your heart falls into the pit of your stomach, even though you *know* he's just being a friendly acquaintance, and nothing more.

So I guess I need a new host, as dear gingertheory will no longer be hosting others. S.O.S.!! Well not really, as she gave me plenty of time to get moved out. (hugs Gina) But is anybody willing to host my site or know somebody else who would be willing to host me? I'm actually considering getting my own domain, but I have to think about it first and figure out what hosting service I want to buy from, what to call the site, etc. Nyeh. I'll die before going back to Geocities. :lol: Or maybe I'll just go siteless until I get my own domain. Now there's a thought. Hm.
So what's a good hosting service? I've been searching through them and Ultimate Hosting Solutions seems the best so far. Does anybody have reccommendations? I'm totally clueless about this stuff.

I BOUGHT COLDPLAY LIVE 2003!!!!!!!!!! It's so neat!! I would KILL to go to a Coldplay concert!!!! These guys are so freaking good; for some bands Live CDs are a disappointment compared to studio CDs, but this one is AMAZING! And it came with the DVD of the concert to and omigosh I love it, the music is awesome live!! Chris Martin is so passionate about what he does; when he plays the piano he's got his face like 2 inches from the keys, he's so into it, and jumps around and does weird things while he's singing and there are parts during some of the songs where the entire audience, *thousands of people*, are completely silent, just listening, and then the band will break into a chorus or whatever and the audience will explode with applause and screaming. grin! Wow, that's cheesy. But I love it. The entire thing gives me the shivers!
:gasp: OK, I'll stop with the ranting . . . I am so obsessed with Coldplay, man . . . it's unhealthy . . .
It is so hot here . . . yesterday I think it got up to 100, and it was humid as hell. So what did I do? Spent 4 hours in a playground with my friends! Smart. My hair went crazy. And I got sick on the swingset, how lame is that? I guess I developed a really weak stomach in the past few years. It sucks, because I can't ride roller coasters either, but Liz (who has similar stomach problems) and I decided we can use that as an excuse not to get drunk in college next year. I've never been drunk, but I imagine I would probably get through like 1 can of beer and I'd be totally gone. But . . . is it possible for one to graduate from college without ever getting drunk? ha ha ha, we'll see.

It's 10:13! woot! I've always wanted to make a post at 10:13. ;)
I know a lot of you told me to buy Coldplay Live 2003, but I needed to wean myself off Coldplay for a while, having listened to X&Y nonstop for weeks, so I bought Aqualung instead. Don't hate me, but . . . IT IS AMAZING!! It's one of those CDs where almost every single song is like . . . wow!!! So Coldplay Live, and all those other CDs I want so badly, will just have to wait! ... A looong time, I just spent all my money fixing my car. I have exactly $1.47 right now . . .
I also found out what residence hall I'll be staying in at college next year. I get a single room, yay!!! None of my friends are in it that I know of, but some of them are staying in the dorms right across the street, so . . . it'll be jumping! I can't wait to move out of my parent's house . . . of course, I'm a little nervous about it, living on my own and stuff, but the time has certainly come!
